In April 2007, Gilbert Drake (Pres.) and Dianne Sturdivant ("academic superintendent" suddenly terminated Goodpasture Christian School's band director. Many believe it was because he posted information which parents had been requesting concerning the school's perceived academic decline on standardized tests.
